Healtheries KidsCare Vitamin C chewable tablets (tiger, hippo, lion, and elephant shapes) are buffered, and therefore stomach friendly, being a blend of ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate.

Vitamin C is a water soluble nutrient. The level of ascorbic acid in the blood reaches a peak 2 to 3 hours after ingestion and then decreases as excess is eliminated in the urine and through perspiration in 3 to 4 hours.

Recommendations for use:


Children: As a daily supplement to maintain good health, for those with lowered resistance to colds and influenza or while under stress.

Contra-indications:

  • Vitamin C 100mg contains sucrose and therefore is not recommended for diabetics.
  • Vitamin C increases excretion of oxalic acid and uric acid, common causes of kidney stones.
  • A personal or family history of kidney stones is a warning that you should not take high doses of Vitamin C in the long term.
  • Diabetic medication (diabinase) and sulphur drugs may not be as effective when taken with Vitamin C

Children 3-8 Years: Take 1 tablet daily.
Children 8 Years and over: Take 2 tablets daily.
